2000-2004 Superduty/2000-2005 Excursion SPD Y-Pipe 5.4L/6.8L  5 Star Tuning is proud to offer the best Y-Pipe on the market! This is a custom-manufactured mandrel bent exhaust Y pipe in the USA for the 2000-2004 F250-F550 & 2000-2005 Excursion 2-wheel drive and 4-wheel drive 6.8L V10 and 5.4L V8 applications. It has two 2.5″ mandrel-bent pipes transitioning to 3″.  Ford’s factory y pipe downsizes to 1.5″ inch pipes, which restricts the exhaust flow, forcing you to lose HP, torque, and gas efficiency! Product Benefits: Its function is to free up the factory-restricted exhaust connection, giving you more horsepower, torque, and gas efficiency! The dyno tests we performed show a gain of 33 HP and 35 torque. This test was performed on a F-250 crew cab. You will get an extra 1-2 mpg. It is very easy to install! Just cut the old Y Pipe out and weld the new performance Y Pipe in. It comes with a coupler for easy installation! Other Information: Due to legalese, “this product is for off-road use only.” This product has not been approved by the state emissions department, but it will not cause your vehicle to fail a smog test. Please check your Excursion, F250, or F350 to make sure it has the restrictions. Somewhere during the 2000 year, Ford changed the exhaust design (there are two different exhaust versions for the year 2000, “old style” and “new style”). Ford installed the restriction points in an attempt to silence the exhaust flutter issue. Our Y Pipe was specially designed and tested as a more efficient fix for the problem.
