Navy Blue Nylon 3-Strand Anchor Rope – Custom Length, Diameter & Spliced Ends Our Navy Blue Nylon 3-Strand Anchor Rope is a reliable, flexible, and high-strength choice for anchoring. Available in diameters from 6mm to 32mm, this rope is suitable for a wide range of vessels—from small boats and tenders to large yachts and commercial craft. Nylon offers excellent shock absorption, which helps reduce strain on deck fittings, cleats, and anchor gear in changing conditions. Its natural elasticity makes it particularly effective in swell, tide, and gusty wind. Each rope is custom-made to your exact requirements. Choose your rope diameter and length, then select your preferred splicing option for each end. You can finish both ends the same, or select different fittings for each—such as soft eyes or spliced-in thimbles. You also have the option to receive the rope supplied loose or on a reel for easier handling and storage. Recommended Use Ideal for anchoring, mooring, or towing Suitable for saltwater and freshwater environments Use 6mm–12mm for small to medium boats (up to 9m) Use 14mm–20mm for larger boats and heavier anchor setups Use 24mm–32mm for commercial vessels and heavy-duty marine use How Much Rope Do You Need? To work out the right length, measure the water depth plus your bow height, then multiply by a scope ratio: 5:1 – For calm, sheltered conditions 7:1 – For general use 10:1 – For rough weather or overnight anchoring Example: Anchoring in 6 metres of water with a 1 metre bow height? A 7:1 scope means you’ll need around 49 metres of rope. Metal Compatibility Notice Mixing stainless steel and galvanised metals can cause galvanic corrosion in marine conditions. We advise using matching materials to prevent this. Made to Order in the UK Each rope is spliced and finished to order in our UK workshop. We cut, splice, and assemble everything by hand to ensure durability and performance—no matter the size of your boat or the conditions you’re facing.
