Already in the antiquity, most objects were decorated with precious mosaic patterns. These colourful solution-dyed glass mosaic tiles can also be used to create artful ornaments. These mosaic tiles are made of solution-dyed, recycled glass with a glossy finish. Thanks to their rounded corners and edges, these high-quality tiles are easy to use. These glass tiles are frost- and heat-resistant, therefore also ideally suited for trivets. As they are about 4 mm thick, they can easily be cut with the mosaic tile nippers. Decorate lanterns, wooden trays, rivets, jewellery, mirrors and much more with these bright mosaic patterns. Glue the glass tesserae on with the mosaic adhesive and seam them with the sealant. Another new technique consists to work through the tesserae with jewellery-concrete. Glass mosaic mix can be combined with many other mosaic tiles from Rayher. Here is how to apply the sealant: first lay your motif, then stick each single tessera to the surface with the mosaic adhesive. Allow them to dry well out! Spread the mixed mosaic sealant over the mosaic pattern. Remove the sealant from the stones by wiping them with a damp sponge. This is how it works with the jewellery-concrete: cast a mould out of jewelllery-concrete and insert the tesserae into the still wet compound. Make sure that the mould is not cast too deeply so that the stones do not pile up in the compound.
