Square downpipes are manufactured in two standard sizes – 100x75mm for household applications and 100x100mm for larger buildings where water displacement is essential. Once again depending on the Shape of roof, the norm is one downpipe per every 3 meters of guttering to ensure sufficient drainage of the gutter. To ensure a neat and durable installation, two holderbats per 2700mm downpipe should be used to fix the downpipe to the wall. A choice of crimped or soldered downpipes are available depending on aesthetic requirements and individual preference. Protective Coating after Installation A good quality acrylic PVA paint should be used to paint the galvanised material which will ensure a durable stylish installation that will last many years.
